Out of control celeb Amanda Bynes 27 claimed in court Friday that the bong she allegedly threw out the window of her 36th floor apartment was actually a vase.

The defendant was observed rolling a marijuana cigarette and throwing a bong out of the 36th floor window .... when there were people below prosecutor Chikaelo Ibeabuchi said during Bynes arraignment.

They knocked on the door. She answered after about five minutes and invited them in a police source said. They smelled marijuana and there was smoke. They saw the bong it was in plain view. It looks like she realized they saw it so she took it and threw it out the window.

Fortunately the clear foot long bubbler didn't hit anyone below police said. Police never recovered the so called smoking bong which may have landed on a terrace of her building.
