ESPN and the Cleveland browns report that Josh Gordon will be suspended for the year and miss all of next year's training camp too.  He will appeal that his civil right to smoke as much weed as he wants was violated by the NFL.

This is all assuming he loses his appeal, which he shouldn't. Before a decision can be made on whether Browns receiver Josh Gordon will miss at least a full calendar year, an appeal hearing must be held. Josh Gordon is the reason he's in this mess, nobody else.

Browns sources are baffled as to why Josh Gordon ruling has taken so long and frustrated over where it could leave them and Gordon. Right now that is preparing our team for the 2014 season and at the same time, supporting Josh however we are able under NFL guidelines during his suspension.

CLEVELAND – Josh Gordon's wait is over, and so is his 2014 season. Right now that is preparing our team for the 2014 season and at the same time, supporting Josh however we are able under NFL guidelines during his suspension."

Josh Gordon put weed before his teammates, before his career, and before his own paychecks. If Josh Gordon took one hit, then he has to take his punishment as it's written in the CBA.

Josh Gordon knew about the possibility of getting suspended this season and instead of laying low he goes and gets a DUI with this case pending.

It's true that Rice's two-game suspension was a travesty, but it has no relevance on what happened to Josh Gordon. But in Josh Gordon's case, he brought them all upon himself.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Josh Gordon appeal decision has been made.

People who drafted Josh Gordon in the last round of their football pools will start crowdfunding money for his legal action.

Josh gordon is surely an idiot, but this really is a no brainer. One of the biggest stories of the offseason has been Josh Gordon's suspension.

I don't think the repeat nature or the fact that Josh Gordon knew he would be suspended is enough to overcome the difference in reprehensibility of the acts. Josh Gordon could have knocked out Ray Rice's wife 8 times and gotten the same suspension he did for being in the vicinity of marijuana.

Josh Gordon has no one to blame but himself for his year-long suspension for another positive drug test Yes, the NFL rules on marijuana are misguided and out of touch, but disliking a law isn't a defense for breaking it. Josh Gordon is not the perfect example of why Ray Rice's punishment was light. Gordon has been suspended by the NFL one year for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

I've heard a couple times that Josh Gordon could file a preliminary injunction which would allow him to take legal action while still being able to play.

Josh Gordon tried to fight his one-season suspension within the framework of the NFL's collective bargaining agreement. Oh, I don't think anyone's trying to say that Josh Gordon isn't a fucking moron. Josh Gordon was looking to build on a breakout season that saw him lead the NFL in receiving yards despite missing two games due to suspension and playing with three different (and quite average-at-best) quarterbacks.
