People want to see Ryan Lochte swim but they don't want to see him be Ryan Lochte.
That's the story of the ratings for What Would Ryan Lochte Do The premiere Sunday night on E drew only 15 500 viewers in the Orlando TV market. Lochte who's from Port Orange would seem to have a built in audience in Central Florida.
But no. He fared worse than Married to Jonas an E series with 16 900 viewers. It ranked No. 97.
The Lochte reality show is so terrible that it has to be considered a public relations blunder for the Olympic swimmer.
Zap2It summed up the show's dreadful quality in a headline 'What Would Ryan Lochte Do' is as every bit as awful as you expected it to be. HuffPost said Ryan comes across like a dumb jock. The Hollywood Reporter complained that Lochte was the worst stereotype of a frat boy.
But the women on The View raved over Lochte's good looks. Unfortunately good looks don't mean good ratings.
