A man who lost both legs in the Boston Marathon bombing helped identify the men suspected of killing three people and maiming him and more than 180 other victims at the race.
The man is Jeff Bauman whose picture of being carried out of the carnage at the finish line in a wheelchair was flashed around the world Monday. He was brought to a hospital where both legs were amputated below the knee.

The bag exploded less than three minutes later.
The description Bauman gave helped investigators narrow down which images to look for as they examined all the video of the bombings the New York Daily News reported.
Besides federal agents Bauman has been visited at Boston Medical Center by Silver Linings Playbook star Bradley Cooper and New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman the Daily News said.
