Ken Venturi died Friday and an emotional Jim Nantz spoke to John Cook about Venturi's life Saturday from the Byron Nelson Championship.
Cook who growing up was a pupil of Venturi's spoke candidly and emotionally about his relationship with the 14 time PGA Tour winner.
I don't know what he saw in a 14 year old Southern Cal kid he said.
Cook also told a great story about when he got to tag along as Venturi and Ben Hogan played golf together.
He closed by telling Nantz he owes a lot of his career to Venturi.
