The singer songwriter was approaching the end of a career spanning show at the city's Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall when The Oregonian reports a fan called out Get healthy we want to see you in 10 years. This apparently left Apple looking distraught and prompted her to swear at the heckler.
Most of the crowd are said to have risen to Apple's defence though one gig goer apparently shouted out You're a has been The singer then asked for the house lights to be turned up and told the original heckler to leave.
After gathering herself together Apple and her band played one more song before the singer reportedly walked off in tears calling it a historically stupid night . Before the show took a turn for the worse Apple had unveiled a new song called 'I Want You To Love Me' listen below.
Thursday night's incident is the second difficult gig experience Apple has suffered in recent months. During a private show in Tokyo on August 29 the singer reportedly told the crowd to Shut the fuck up and stormed off stage after becoming exasperated by the amount of noise they were making.
Apple released her fourth studio album last year (2012) giving it the typically lengthy title 'The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver Of The Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do'. Her US tour is set to continue with a show at LA's Walt Disney Concert Hall on Monday night (October 7).
