Adrian Peterson is helped off the field after an ankle injury. (USATSI)
Questionable coming into the Vikings Ravens game on Sunday with a groin injury Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson has injured his ankle in the second quarter and had to be carted from the sideline to the locker room.
After the game Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Peterson had a mid foot sprain. He'll get an MRI on Monday after sitting out the rest of Sunday's contest.
Peterson caught a third down pass from quarterback Matt Cassel and he raced to the sidelines to try to gain the first down. But Ravens linebacker Arthur Brown caught him before he went out of bounds and appeared to land on Peterson's legs.
Immediately Peterson flopped onto his back and rolled around in obvious pain.
He was helped off the field before riding a cart back to the Minnesota locker room.
